Image and PDF exports

Download screenshots and comparisons as PNG, JPEG, WebP, or PDF, or copy an image.

Turn your review into an image or PDF you can attach to a message, document, or issue.

Download an image

  1. Open the capture or comparison in the editor.
  2. Use the arrow beside the download button to choose a format.
  3. Select the format button to download.
FormatBest for
PNGLossless detail, crisp text, and long screenshots.
JPEGHigh-quality images for everyday sharing.
WebPHigh-quality images for web-friendly sharing.
PDFA4 pages for printing or sharing a longer review.

The picker guides you to PNG when a capture is too large for JPEG or WebP.

Download a PDF

Choose PDF in the same dropdown, then select PDF to download. The full screenshot or side-by-side comparison fits the width of an A4 portrait page. Long captures continue vertically onto additional pages, in order.

Export selected captures

In Captures, select individual items or choose Select visible. Choose Export, then Images as PNG ZIP to download one annotated PNG per selected capture or comparison, or Merged PDF to combine them into one A4 document. Comparisons and Multi groups export side by side, with their annotations and watermark settings. The PDF follows the library order, newest first. Finish in-progress captures before exporting a selection.

Merged PDFs share the same 500-page and 64 MiB embedded-image limits as individual PDFs. If a selection exceeds either limit, export fewer captures or choose the PNG ZIP.

PDF includes the same annotations, comparison labels, and per-image watermarks as image downloads. Original image detail is preserved inside the PDF; zoom in to inspect a wide comparison. The final page can have blank space below the image.

PDFs are created locally and are free on Chrome and Firefox.

  • They contain images, not selectable or searchable text.
  • A4 page breaks can split text or annotations.
  • For one continuous image without page breaks, choose PNG.

PDF export stops at 500 pages or 64 MiB of embedded image data. These limits do not describe the final PDF file size. If you reach one, download PNG or capture a shorter section.

Copy an image

Choose Copy beside the download button in the editor header, or press Ctrl+C / Cmd+C while the editor is focused. A Copied! message confirms success. Paste into an app that accepts images.

Copy uses PNG with the same annotations, labels, and watermarks as a download, regardless of the selected download format. Selected text and text fields keep their normal copy behavior.

Clipboard copy supports images up to 32 million pixels and 16,384 pixels per side. If the browser blocks clipboard access or the image is too large, download PNG instead. Clipboard copy is free on Chrome and Firefox.

What the export includes

Image downloads keep the original image dimensions. PDF fits the same composition onto A4 pages without modifying saved originals. All formats include annotations, labels, and your watermark settings. Every export format is free, including clean exports without branding or timestamps.

  • Single: one screenshot.
  • A/B or Multi: one combined side-by-side image.
  • Diff: the highlighted comparison with B's annotations.

An imported A/B image uses the same annotations and per-image watermark rules as a browser capture. Imported images are labeled in the comparison, and their timestamp records when they were imported, not when the design file was created.

Downloads follow your browser's save-location settings. Review the file before sharing, especially when it shows private information.
