Annotations and exports
Mark up saved images, inspect native pixels, and download PNG, JPEG, WebP, or an optional accessibility report.
Annotate without changing originals
Open an image from Captures, or finish a comparison to open the editor. Choose an arrow, rectangle, pen, or text tool and draw directly on the image. Pick a preset color or use Custom color for new annotations; existing marks retain their colors.
In A / B view, annotate either side. Each mark stays with its own image when saved or exported. Diff displays and exports B's annotations without deleting those on A. Undo and redo work across both sides. Click Done to save your work locally; stored originals remain unchanged.

Use 1:1 to inspect actual image pixels. Reset view restores the initial width-fit view and top-left scroll position. Long images remain scrollable. Preview zoom does not change original pixels or export dimensions.
Choose an image format
Use the arrow beside the download button to choose a format, then click the format button to download.

All formats retain native dimensions, labels, annotations, and applicable watermarks. A/B and Multi exports are one combined side-by-side image; Diff exports the diff view. PNG exports are seamless images, not ZIPs or separate image sections. Oversized exports are rejected rather than silently resized.
Downloads use your browser's default download folder, and duplicate filenames are numbered. Chrome's Ask where to save each file before downloading setting at chrome://settings/downloads and Firefox's Always ask you where to save files option may still display a chooser. SnapDiff does not change those settings, and browser policies may also require confirmation.
Firefox's limited-feature scope includes annotations, full-quality PNG/JPEG/WebP exports, and the same Free/Pro watermark controls. Existing responsive or localized captures remain reviewable and exportable there, although Firefox cannot create new captures using device presets or browser locale simulation. Capture libraries do not synchronize across browser installations.
Watermarks and timestamps
Free shows the SnapDiff icon beside the snapdiff. name and each image's actual capture timestamp, not the export time. The icon and name scale together to fit smaller captures. The editor previews the same watermark that will appear in the download. A/B and Multi keep each image's timestamp; Diff uses B's.
Pro adds Watermark controls for an optional custom name and timestamp visibility. Click Apply to remember the settings. A blank name with timestamps off produces a clean export. Free always uses SnapDiff branding and timestamps, even if Pro preferences were saved earlier.

Accessibility reports
If Check accessibility was enabled for a capture, open Accessibility, select the image, and choose JSON report. The saved report includes findings and capture, viewport, language, timing, and engine metadata.
Reports can contain private page URLs, element selectors, and HTML snippets. Review them before sharing. A scan failure or coverage warning remains part of the report; no findings is not a compliance certificate. See check coverage.
Share deliberately
SnapDiff has no Slack, Jira, or GitHub export integration. Download the image or report, inspect it, and attach it yourself where appropriate. Drawing over sensitive content is not a secure-redaction guarantee, and originals remain saved locally.
